The bedroom needs to be the haven of your dreams, and for this to be true, designers say you need only a few items. Just a few things to make this space so relaxing that is almost impossible to tear yourself away. So how do you achieve a dreamy bedroom?
First of all, you need to have something fluffy in your bedroom, and this could very well be the carpet. Everyone hates waking up in the morning and stepping on a cold and uninviting floor. Another thing that could be fluffy is the blanket covering the bed. Just by touching it you can experience an instant change of mood, this quickly leading you to dreamland.
Of course, these are just examples and you will be able to find a lot more interesting (and fluffy) things, like a pair of pretty slippers.
The more pillows you have, the better. White or colored, round or rectangular, they all have something in common: they are comfortable and soft. Experts say, however, that you shouldn’t exaggerate with their number, six being more than enough.
Whether it’s style, color or theme, your bedroom needs to have a common element, something binding that gives it uniformity and hence a comforting and welcoming atmosphere.
In the bedroom, you will always need a place to place a book, a glass of water, a lamp or the alarm clock. While the nightstand is the classic choice, you could very well replace it with an ottoman, a chair or mere stools. This would look very original.
Because the bedroom is a room that requires tranquility we’ll also tell you what shouldn’t be found there. Although technology made us addicted to the TV, computer or smartphone, these would be better be left outside the bedroom door. As you can imagine, most people are breaking this rule, but you don’t have to be one of them.
Sweet dreams, in your dreamy bedroom! 🙂
