Black and white furniture is ideal for any decor style, but it is best suited for homes that want to be considered modern or contemporary looking. If you are choosing this approach, you certainly are a bold person. With great taste, we might add.
You might think that the black will give the bedroom a relaxing and comfortable vibe, but we will have to contradict you on that. Used intelligently and with a bit of fantasy, in reasonably sized room, this color can bring that air of sophistication and, at the same time, uniqueness. Preferably, the black color should be used just to emphasize certain elements, but playing with equal proportions is permitted as well.
You could, for example, opt for a room with walls painted in white, but that is furnished with a black bed (we are talking about the frame here, of course) and shelves/nightstands in the same color. Too much black? Not if the sheets and beddings are white. Moreover, if you choose to decorate using black pillows, depending on the season, you could alternate them with colored ones.
Another idea for decorating in this bold style is a completely white furniture set (with only small touches of black, like the headboard or a drawer), all in contrast with a black floor and – if you have the courage – black walls. The monotony could be broken by playful lines, paintings or, why not, by an interesting lighting system.
Even a smaller bedroom could be decorated using this simple, yet very pretentious, color combination. For this design to be a success, the main condition is for the central element (which in our case is the bed) to be white and the black used in moderation, just as an accent color.
For people who are working in an agitated, multicolor environment and for the people who want to escape all visual stimuli when they are in the bedroom, a black and white bedroom is the materialization of perfection.
